I, Midhun Muraly

A space designer with an appetite for arts and crafts interweaving design applications for a sustainable environment in business and living spaces. I hail from the land of hills rivers and seashores, Kottayam a small part of Kerala. The observer in me noticed the nuances of the interaction between humans and nature, while the artist in me cherished the nostalgia and innocence. Thereby joining Government fine arts college, Thrissur to study further about arts.

After graduating in fine arts, I turned around my career with an acquired skill set of a designer

and a Craftsman. I worked for six years as an interior designer and art director. While working

in the industry I realized a need for incorporating sustainable materials and convenient methods

of design applications towards an organic experience and lifestyle in human-centric design and hence pursued a post-graduation in Retail experience from the National Institute of Design Research and Development campus in Bangalore. Throughout the academic period, I focused

on experimenting with sustainable, cost-effective and durable materials for a very sensitive and tactile experience in space. It helped me develop a keen knowledge of human-centric tactile experience.  The explorations at the institute and outside in the industry have led me into considering the untapped potential of all new avenues of space design and it's derivatives.
