MIDHUN MURALY

Designer - Artist

I, Midhun Muraly

a space designer with a deep-rooted passion for arts and crafts, weaving thoughtful design applications into sustainable business and living environments. I come from Kottayam, Kerala—a land of hills, rivers, and seashores—where my sensitivity to the subtle relationship between humans and nature first took shape.

The observer in me grew attentive to these interactions, while the artist within cherished nostalgia, simplicity, and innocence. This led me to pursue formal training in fine arts at the Government Fine Arts College, Thrissur. After graduating, I expanded my creative direction by acquiring the skills of a designer and craftsman, shaping a multidisciplinary practice.

Over six years, I worked as an interior designer and art director, gaining extensive industry experience. During this time, I recognised a growing need for sustainable materials and intuitive design methods that support an organic, human-centric lifestyle. Driven by this realization, I pursued a postgraduate degree in Retail Experience Design at the National Institute of Design (Research and Development Campus), Bengaluru.

Throughout my academic journey, I focused on experimenting with sustainable, cost-effective, and durable materials to create sensitive, tactile spatial experiences. These explorations helped me develop a strong understanding of human-centric and sensory-driven design. My experiences—both within the institute and in professional practice—have encouraged me to explore the untapped potential of spatial design and its many derivatives.

I would be delighted to collaborate with you and your organisation to craft immersive, meaningful, and sensorially rich spaces, drawing from my skills, learnings, and passion. Let’s connect over a hot beverage and discuss your vision—because, as they say, beauty is truth, and truth is beauty.

                                                                                                              Yours truly,
